This item is delivered without a straight edge. I took it to a belt sander to straighten the edge so it was actually straight. Done with slingshots. If you want to do this by hand, start with a fine grit (40-60 grit) to smooth it out quickly. Then sharpen and polish. There are many videos on YouTube.
