Review on Focal KIT 165AS Component Speaker by Virot Reangtong ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I am happy with everything, the product matches the description.

Autoacoustics in the region of 10 Krub, designed for a clear and good sound, is very worthy. I have rich experience with morel tempo 6 component and Focal K2. Adding a comment after a year of use: The metallic dry echo that was a little at the very beginning intensified and opened up. The speakers play quite clear and bass, but the sound is unnatural - as if they passed through some kind of filter. Perhaps this is from the head unit, but morel in their price range were more comfortable. Downgraded from 5 to 4 stars. For example, if in a year the focal K2 on another car opened up and plays simply incredible, sometimes it breaks a tear, then 165AS sound just so-so.

Pros
  • ++ tweeters are not too high in high frequencies (like morel tempo, for example), I set it to -3 dB, my ears are very comfortable even after an hour ++ excellent in frequency response (there is no desire to even get into the equalizer), all settings are 0 + good detail in quiet areas + natural sound, concentrated in the mid-high range + perfectly work out from the head unit directly, the volume is enough + good punch + vibrant vocals
Cons
  • - the sound is harsh, softness is not enough, but it does not hurt the ears - a bit dryish sound (not quite "warmed up" yet) - the scene is very lame (tweeters in the area of mirrors, the connection is not per-channel, the power is directly from the PG through standard wires) - attacks, compared to Focal K2, are severely lacking - frequencies below 80 Hz are not working very well - there are no contacts for the midrange in the set - tweeters and glasses, under them, are very light in weight, made of medium-quality plastic (heavier by filling the glass with pieces of vibration isolation)
