Titanium Foil is a great product that offers excellent thermal insulation. However, it is a bit difficult to work with. It comes off much easier than fiberglass wrap, so you have to be careful with cut ends. Also, it doesn't stretch as much as fiberglass, so make sure you calculate the amount you need carefully. I figured it would take me 20-25 feet to wrap two inner tubes on my bike and I ended up using almost 30 with only 1/2-3/4 inch of overlap. Just because it's not fiberglass doesn't mean it won't absorb into your skin like fiberglass does. I learned this the hard way. Make sure you wear gloves and long sleeves or you'll be itching for hours. I've only got about 100 miles on my bike since packing. tubes, but so far there has been no discoloration and the casing tends to contract and stiffen with repeated exposure to heat and cold.
