I've definitely spent too much time looking for a container that will fit an entire packet of sliced American cheese, but without too much room for the edges to dry out (we don't buy containers individually boxed pieces) but I FOUND THIS and this is it! This container is ideal for a 24 slice (16 oz/1 lb) pack of regular American cheese (cheese purchased from Aldi). Personally, I don't need it airtight in this case, but I poured some water into a new container (I haven't used the container yet, washed it, microwaved it, refrigerated it, or frozen it, aside from putting a pack of cheese in it in it, take the attached photos) and shake it and nothing came out, so I think you're ready to go!
