My old fan's cover was very weathered so I decided to fit a brand new fan. I installed it on Thursday and went camping on Saturday. I was very impressed with the power of this fan. Unfortunately, when I arrived at my campsite, the fan stopped working. It never rained so there couldn't be a water problem. I emailed support and the "Technical Support Coordinator" asked me what the voltage was going to the fan. I answered 13.66 volts on the fan assembly wires. I did not get an answer. Installing the fan was easy. The most time consuming part is removing the old sealer and putty. If tech support can't help me, I'll have to spend another three hours cleaning the roof of grout and putty, and I'll have to buy more grout and putty. charging voltage. I received a 12v regulator and Maxxair is sending a replacement control board. Update 08/31/2019 The replacement board works - it survived a week of camping. I installed a voltage regulator so the fan wouldn't be turned off by my truck's alternator or my RV's 12-volt charging system.
