For the money this system sounds decent. about 2-3 weeks. After working great for a couple of weeks, the panel suddenly wouldn't turn on. As my Revain return deadline had expired I had to call Vizio directly to arrange a return. They had me first unplug, hold the power button for 5-10 seconds to "discharge the capacitors", and plug it back in. Suddenly it started again and worked great again. The fact that they have this order in their troubleshooting guides and know they can recommend it before issuing a refund means they know this is a common problem. After a couple of weeks of normal use, the volume began to increase dramatically, with an odd bass hum being heard with all the dialogue and I had to almost double normal volume to hear it. After struggling with this for about a week, I tried the old "discharge capacitors" trick and the rumble went away and the volume returned to normal. My pole is wall mounted so it's very difficult to remove once a month. If you're planning on placing it on a TV stand resetting is annoying but shouldn't be too difficult, but I wouldn't recommend this system if you're planning on wall mounting it. Again, Vizio seems to know this is an issue, so find out before you buy.
