I'm building my A7siii rig and I need a top handle but would also like a side handle. Although this is advertised as a top handle, you can use it as a side handle! Of course, it's not as big and handy as a wooden handle, but it's versatile enough that if you want to use it as a top handle once and then put it on its side for a better grip, you can do it. It's comfortable to hold, but I wish it was a little longer if I mounted a monitor on it.
