Review on 🏍️ Torc T14B Mako Full Face Helmet with Integrated Bluetooth by Luke Liu

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Not the best and not the worst.

I try to be as honest as possible when evaluating products, particularly helmets. Firstly I wear a large but I had to return the large and get an extra large for this helmet to fit. my head. It folds my ears up when I put it on, but I was expecting it, it's very comfortable. What a helmet is good for. There isn't much movement when riding, again that's good for a helmet. When I shake my head, the helmet stays in place. If I just wanted a well fitting full face helmet this would work. But I wanted a helmet with features like Bluetooth. The charging port cover broke off and doesn't want to be put on, looks really bad design and just not very thought through. It charged relatively quickly, going from empty to full in about an hour. Pairing with my phone (iPhone) was very easy and very fast. I replaced the clear mask with a tinted one, yes I know it has a built in visor but I like the full face mask to be tinted. The replacement was relatively easy, could have been easier, but not that bad. Now for the ride, I REALLY wanted to like this helmet, I really did. I drive an HD Super Glide with a stock exhaust. The speakers weren't loud enough to drown out the exhaust, but thanks to the full helmet and padding, the helmet didn't make the exhaust noise too bad. The speakers really could have been better, it sounded a bit like your earbud was out of your ear but close enough that you could hear the music. Not great, but not the worst either. Built-in sun visor SUCKS. Seriously, he keeps falling and doesn't last. The faster you drive and the stronger the wind, the more the visor vibrates. I'm not interested in built-in sights and had no intention of ever using them, so I'm sure I can find a way to deal with this thing. There was almost no ventilation, at least as far as I can tell. The D-ring side of the chin strap should be slightly longer, making it difficult to open and close the chin strap. Phone calls, well, phone calls aren't that good. It wasn't that bad at low speed, but the faster you go the worse it gets. Overall, I feel like a helmet that fits as snugly as this one should sound better. Phone calls could definitely be better. If I had to rate this helmet on a scale of 1 to 10 I would give it a maximum of 5.
