This protection adheres very well to varnished and natural wood (we use it in our children's home). It was easy to use and has really good traction - I doubt kids could slip on it even if they wanted to. Exactly what we had hoped for. I really appreciate that the last inch of the roll could be used - companies often use an adhesive product to attach it to the roll - not the case here. No tread is lost - the base attaches to the roller so the entire tread can be used. Pros: Traction bead is truly non-slip, easy to install.
