This scanner works well with my 2005 Toyota Corolla. It turns on as soon as you plug the device into the OBD port, usually under the driver's side dash. This scanner is great if you're just sitting in a parking lot, but with that length of cable it's impossible to drive and see what's going on. continues. It would be as bad as a portable cell phone. That being said, my Corolla is old so it doesn't support all the monitors this device is configured to read. I compared this to the results I got from Bluetooth based devices with the corresponding Android apps. This found various codes but it might be time. The display is a bit difficult to read as the screen resolution is very grainy, but it does the job. Easy screen navigation Overall I'm happy with my purchase and it's better than going to an auto parts store to borrow a cable that's about to fall off.
