It can be worn over the shoulder but keep in mind that the strap is quite short and the wallet fits just under your arm. This is not a shoulder bag. The inner lining is light brown and looks high quality. There are two patch zip pockets on the sides. There are fur-lined brass legs at the bottom of the bag. So when you put the bag down, it should be resting on your legs. Nice feature but the legs are very small and the wallet will likely still be touching the surface it's on. Nice bag with many separate compartments for storing personal items. It comes in navy blue, red and black. The black purse is very classic.
