The replacement shell worked great! I used a NEW silicone insert (because the old one broke while disassembling), the ORIGINAL plastic frame that holds the battery and circuit board (it's easier this way, but be careful when inserting it into the silicone insert, and put sure all the tabs are in the molded slots) and I reused the ORIGINAL buttons (except for one panic) as I noticed the paint rubs off on the new ones quite easily. Finally, I used airplane scissors to cut open the old shell next to the Honda emblem and used the heat from our hair dryer to loosen the underlying adhesive. Then, with the help of a thin knife, I was able to remove the old emblem and it matched the new shell perfectly. The result is a PERFECT job (with a stronger shell than the original).
