Review on Premium Tempered Glass Screen Protector for iPhone 8 / iPhone 7 [2-Pack] by Power Theory with Easy Install Kit by Louis Abrams

Easy installation and perfect installation are not the same; Do not recommend

I am not impressed with these Power Theory iPhone 8/7 screen protectors. I bought these for my grandma who just got her first smartphone and easy installation doesn't have to mean perfect installation. The glass itself seems good. I have no doubt that the glass protects the screen from scratches or falls. The touch response is good and it doesn't get as oily as some other screen protectors. That's two packs. You only get one tray. It's up to you to put the second protective film in the tray and align the sticker yourself. Installing the second protector itself is not so easy. Other easy to install protectors I've had in the past usually come with two shells if they are a two pack of a similar price. The installation process is the same. I followed the instructions exactly as they were given. I placed the tablet on the device and pressed the sticker as instructed. I let it sit for about 30 seconds and removed the sticker. I removed the tray and was mostly disappointed. There were no bubbles, but the protective film on the screen was at a very slight angle. Why is this a problem? On the one hand, a small part of the display still peeks out. This causes an annoying rainbow effect and makes this part of the display vulnerable. The disappointments didn't end there. Part of the protective film was not fully adhered to the display. Finally, a small piece of adhesive remained on the side of the protective film and was difficult to tear off. I chose the second protective film. The results were similar. It didn't run perfectly, there was still a small part that wasn't fully adhered somewhere else than the first, and there were at least three pieces of glue or glue-like material stuck to the sides of the tread. . The right side appears to be perfect, but the portion of the display left from center to the bottom edge is uncovered. Just saw my grandma for the first time in a week and checked out the screen protector after she was in it. hands for a while. It's still there and holding up well, but the part that isn't fully attached is still noticeable. She said the screen protector is fine for now, but if I can find a better alternative she wants one asap. I cannot recommend this screen protector. I've had other brands of easy to install protectors and they weren't as bad as this one. If I wanted an imperfect installation I would have done it myself. Quality control seems to be lacking due to the lack of glue and bits of glue on the sides that had to be peeled off.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Low repairability
