Easy Installation

Easy Installation, All Parts Included. I chose the wireless camera because I needed to install gear on a large Yukon Denali SUV. I didn't want to launch a wired camera at such a distance. The display will be more than 12 feet from the camera antenna, which is beyond their recommendations. Thought I'd give it a try anyway since the reviews said it would work. I wanted to explore all aspects of the kit before installing it. Since I had a cigarette lighter next to the reversing lights, I used a sprinkler to provide two outlets. One was used to power the display. The other uses a two-wire cigarette lighter plug to power the camera. The camera wiring was secured with alligator clips. This test setup highlighted the entrance and how the guides are displayed on the monitor. These steps are not required for a successful installation. You always want to learn everything. Everything worked as expected and made it easy to set up the camera. The connectors provided an easy connection to the reverse lamp positive wire. The earth was attached to the lantern and the body. I installed a mount behind the license plate that just opened the camera. Since I needed to place the wiring behind the bumper and under the chassis, I connected the two wires together and wrapped the wires in a flexible harness. As an extra precaution because of the South Dakota weather, I sealed the loom but left the Boundary Wire exposed. I found recommendation customizations to be easy to set up. No other changes to the ad were required. I've been using the camera for over a week and haven't had any problems. Since the display was mounted on top of the dashboard, I didn't notice any glitches. The lack of glitches was unexpected. The antenna is located behind the bumper under the car and about 4 meters from the display. We have had snow and rain since installation but have not had to clean the camera lens. Inch square tube. Even 15cm in front of the camera it didn't obstruct my view when I wasn't carrying bikes. Even with four wheels you still had a great view. The night vision works better than expected. The quality of the camera was very good considering that I exceeded the distance between the antenna and the receiver. The antenna is located under the rear bumper on the Yukon XL. Very happy with the value received.
