Good HUD display in automotive electronics

Many people complain that they are difficult to see and have a little double vision. This is how HUDs are built. Factory versions have a special coating on the glass to eliminate ghosting. This display could be used in daylight and not too bright at night. It comes with a clear sticker for your windshield to avoid double vision but I haven't used it. I was actually very happy with the display. I bought it mainly because of the speedometer. For that it works great. Out of the box it needed some adjustments. There's a percentage adjustment that's set a little conservatively to prevent you from getting a ticket. It reads the speed from the engine computer and therefore will probably show exactly what your speedometer shows when you set it to 0. One thing I hadn't thought of is that the water temperature chart is shown in Celsius. My brain doesn't think in Celsius, but you can think of it in percentage and it's close enough. After using it for a while I figured I was really just using the speedometer, I wanted to put black tape over the others but found out there was a setting to disable the other gauges. This device is very easy to set up. I'm deducting a star because it didn't work on the car I bought it for (a 1995 Buick). My car is OBD-2 and OBD-2 scanners can communicate with the engine, but this is one of the early versions of OBD-2. I suspect they haven't implemented the entire OBD-2 standard.
