They are not suitable for all applications
I had the same problems as others. The circuit board on the base of the lamp is too big to fit in the socket. I have a 1995 GMC c1500 in which I am trying to convert all the bulbs to LED and I saw photos of a similar car provided by another reviewer so I figured they would fit. I've only tried one lightbulb and it broke at a couple of solder joints trying to fit it into the socket. I probably can't get them back now that I broke one. I can't say anything about the brightness or anything like that because I can't install it. The search goes on I think.
