Review on Chemical Guys WAC_202_16 Speed Detailer by Martin Dosunmu

Once again, the Chemical Guys have hit the mark with a great "quick napkin" product. This speed wipe is really awesome, it's a great all purpose spray and if you had to take a sprayer with you on the go to do everything that would probably be it. I rubbed it on my warm car yesterday (after taking it out in the garage) and it seems to be a bit more forgiving which means some kids sprays can only be used on cold paint as they can dry. pretty quick and then a streak and it will be harder to knock it out with the buff maneuver. This product feels "wetter" rather than "hot" with more alcohol, so it feels softer and dries slower. At the moment Chemical Guys has a lot of products in this class and I know it can be confusing, but when you think of Chemical Guys products you might judge based on the amount of emulsifiers and "cleaning agents" they have included, and of course the same amount of alcohol, which acts as a cleaning agent. Speed wipe and you'll feel it really takes care of your color. It applies well to glass but doesn't diffuse as easily as their Ultra Synthetic Fast Detail Spray (purple). But, as with Extreme Slick Synthetic Detail, if you apply it to glass it washes off nicely, and as I said if you need to take a bottle with you on the go this is probably what you need. . You can use it to touch up your entire car and even your rims (provided they aren't too dirty). What I do is very quickly wipe the car down with my California feather duster (the original wooden handle, not the cheap plastic handle version). ). I spray it on fairly liberally, using the bottom end of a lint-free microfiber cloth. Wipe it off, wait a few seconds and buff. You'll feel the "smoothness" it leaves behind. It is also great for rubber surfaces, leaving them nice and shiny. You can even wipe the glass, but if you're using microfiber for this, make sure it's a well aged (softer) microfiber cloth and you're using low lint. Using towel end (or waffle weave), the high-pile end of some microfibers can leave peach fuzz fragments on your glass, and to be honest I mostly use cotton for my glass as the microfiber builds up static electricity and will hold that peach. Down fibers are at their pretty good level. But this Vintage Series Speed Shine is a really good product. Again, Chemical Guys makes some products in this category and it can be confusing, but consider this a medium quality, while the top tier is their "Clear Seal Gloss" and is on the lower end of the application spectrum (e.g . wipes). no wash, 1st pass -> Extreme Slick Synthetic Detailer works very well for this application as it contains more alcohol). Next will be something like V07, then this vintage speed gloss, then transparent print gloss). From there, move on to thicker yogurt-like consistencies like Jet Seal, and then to thicker pastes like Carnauba. (Note — —> Chemical Guys Liquid Carnauba Liquid is considered somewhat congruent with "Speed Gloss”, however buffing Carnauba Glitter can generate dust while none of the Speed Gloss listed here generate dust. Carnauba usually always considers waxes, but Chemical Guys Liquid Carnauba Liquid is very "runny" and can even be applied with a spray bottle). The trick with this vintage speed gloss is to do it daily, I know it seems like a lot of work but if you just dust the car really quick and then wipe it really quick you can get phenomenal results in just 10 achieve or 15 minutes. But for that you have to have love, and some people, I understand, just don't have it (sometimes I consider such people lucky because in terms of your car being type A is almost a curse) :-) :-)
