I think this light could be brighter. I really like the dimming feature, just wish the highest setting gave more light. The timer is good but in increments of 3 hours, 6 hours, 12 hours or 24 hours. For our needs, 9 hours would be ideal. For the price, this is definitely what you need. Our package did not include instructions. However, after contacting the company, the set was emailed to us.
