Review on Bakugan Evolutions Griswing Platinum True Metal 2 BakuCores Character Card Boys Ages 6+ Toys by Sheila Osorio

Storage-Conscious Version With All Functionality

This Bakugan Evolutions transformable figure is a pocket-sized version of the larger figures my son has collected in the past. For this reason, it is much more transportable and storage-friendly but it does not lack any features that made the larger versions intriguing to kids. This set arrives with the figure (approximately 2" wide), the character card, and a card and two coins for battling. My son and I are not familiar with the card and token system of these Bakugans, as he is only seven, but he collects the figures and "battles" them with friends by rolling and activating the "opening" function of the toy.Basically, these operate as balls when closed and then "spring" into their animal-like forms when a location is triggered (such as their head). For my seven-year-old, this feature alone is enough to make these sets of toys exciting and collectable. However, the added card and battle coin element is a draw to older elementary-aged children as they add a further component to the imaginative/interactive play.Personally, I am a fan of the smaller design that this particular series carries. It is much more toy-storage friendly and can easily travel in pockets or in vehicles. The smaller size is also favored more by my son, possibly because of how it fits better in his hands when rolling the figure out to "battle". This gift would make a fantastic stocking stuffer or add-on gift, even for those who are not familiar with the overall game or collectables.
