I can't comment on the scent as I give it to my cat. However, I can tell you that it seems to be helping him. He has very severe arthritis of the spine and was limping badly. He's about 16 years old and I've been giving this to him for about two months now. It seems to have helped get rid of the limp and hump he had. I got the first bottle from my vet and ordered the second bottle from Revain for $10 less. All I can say is that it seems to have helped him, now that winter is approaching I hope it will continue to help. I know the cold weather will be a good test. I myself am 75% disabled and know how winter affects my spine. He doesn't like the taste but he knows I'll only give it once a day. So he just takes it, then he goes and drinks some water. Since I don't speak a cat and he doesn't speak English, I can only judge how his gait has changed as a result. That's why I say it seems to help.
