This little blanket is one of the best gifts I've ever bought for my daughter on my behalf - she tucks in every night before bed and throughout the day as a comfort item. In this house, this poor owl blanket gets washed at least once a week to get rid of all the baby drool, booger, food and God knows what else, but it still manages to maintain its integrity without fraying. And this poor owl walked through the ranks; if the child doesn't pull it, he drops it, drags it, and the mother steps on it, not having enough hands to pick it up again. My daughter's first owl lost the fight to my German shepherd who decided to rip her apart one night. The only issue I had was a bit of thread removal in the corners, but that's to be expected with 9+ months of abuse. Since then, the second owl has been holding on. It's easy to wash, dries quickly despite the soft owl part, and stays as soft as ever. My daughter also loves to chew on her ears so this is a teething toy that she is less likely to drop and not easily reach back. For several months, she rubbed this blanket over her head every night to calm herself before bed, and as a result, it became a staple around the house. I would buy a whole box of these if I could. One of the best purchases I've made as a new mom.
