I swapped out bulkier camping gear for something more hiking oriented and REI highly recommended it. This is my first camping stove and I love it! It is compact, easy to use, cooks easily with other utensils and saves fuel. All accessories fit well and you don't need to buy Jetboil brand fuel. We bought a can of Coleman fuel from Walmart which worked great, was cheaper and we've used it for 7+ hikes. If you are actually backpacking then I would recommend the Jetboil brand as they are smaller and fit in a cup. Water boils very quickly and takes no more than 3-4 minutes. A pot adapter is included, which is great if you want to use utensils other than a mug. The bottom plastic cup and the real cooking cup have size markings which was helpful. The plastic lid has holes that can be used as a strainer. Rubber grips prevent burns. The rotary control is ideal for a very controlled combustion. A fuel tank stabilizer is also included, which is helpful when trying to cook on a picnic table or anything else that is uneven. Here's the bad part: I don't have many complaints, but I have to say there are other ovens that are cheaper. I thought 150β¬ was expensive but in the end it was worth it for all the useful features and accessories that come with it. It is also difficult to remove the cup from the stove immediately after boiling because the cup is hot. It's a bit annoying when you want to eat from a cup or pour coffee without having to carry the whole system with you when you can't just disconnect the kettle from the cup when it's hot.
