This sound machine has a total of 24 sounds. It comes with a power adapter, the device itself, a cheat sheet, and the usual instruction manual. The work is easy, as in my video. I just plugged it in and then pressed the light button to choose the color of the night light. I also pressed the play sound button to start playing the sounds. This button serves as the power button for the device. The night light function has seven light sources that can be switched with two white light options. The timer function works from 15, 30, 60, 90 and 120 minutes or can be disabled for continuous playback. There are three volume controls: Nature/Lullaby, White Noise, and Fan. There are 8 white noise and fan sounds and 16 nature sounds available. I especially like the sounds of nature. The current price of $25.99 is what machines like this are for. Of course, in the age of smart home speakers like Google Home, such a device is really unnecessary as I can just ask my Google Home to play sounds or say goodnight to get the routine. However, for those who want a sound machine for a child's room or just for themselves, this will work. Note that there will never be more than 24 sounds available, and if you don't like all the sounds, only some of them will ever play. I rated this device three stars for several reasons. First, I prefer a battery powered device (correcting what I said in my video). I don't like the idea of having to be tethered to a power source to run this and I want to be able to take it with me anywhere. Second, the top controls are very difficult to see (see photo). The imprint must be bright white so that it can be seen by the operator. Third, the device isn't as slim as some of the other devices I've tried before - it's tall and squat.
