Bought the lamp a little over 3 months ago. I liked this lamp. It was perfect! Exactly what I was looking for. It mounts to the side of my desk so it doesn't take up desk space. It moves up and down and rotates left and right. I needed a combination of light and magnification because I can't see very well to create post and jewelry for my side business. The magnifying glass was a game changer for me! However, 2 weeks ago I was sitting at my desk moving things and noticed a burning smell. There was a smell of electricity so I reached over and grabbed the plug that was in that spot and the lamp plug was very hot to the touch. The other connected cable was not hot at all. I immediately turned it off and left it on for the rest of the day. The next day I tried a different USB adapter - it still got very hot. I even bought new adapters - they all got very hot. I tried different plugins and so on and so on. It didn't matter what this lamp was connected to, it got too hot. I'm not sure how long that went on. Unfortunately, the deadline to return this item has already expired, but I do not risk continuing to use it and cause an electrical fire. For me it was a waste of money as I only used it for 3 months. Hopefully I've just stumbled upon one with faulty wiring.
