Overall I am very happy with this soap. It forms a nice thick lather, has a minimal but pleasant odor and is all natural. I couldn't melt it in my shaving bowl using any of the methods they suggested since I use a double-walled stainless steel bowl. Instead, I placed the puck in a Pyrex measuring cup and microwaved it for 20 seconds before pouring it into my bowl. The next morning I had a beautifully designed and perfectly shaped soap dish, ready to go. I've been using this soap daily for a little over a week now and haven't had any irritation or anything like that. It foams very quickly and holds the brush well. Both my daily safety razor and test disposable razor glided effortlessly across my skin. After shaving my skin feels soft and well moisturized but there is no oil or oil or anything left, just insanely soft skin.
