Good shaving soap, good lather. It has a strong "manly" but clean smell. The scent stays on me longer than some other soaps I've tried. This is good or bad depending on your preferences. This is my second order of this soap and I really liked it. It foams well, the puck lasts at least 3 months. I was initially concerned about the shape of the puck as it is much narrower than my shaving mug/bowl, but the company sent me instructions (on my first order) on how to "melt" it in a mug in the microwave can. and conforms to the shape of the bowl which works much better so I don't waste time chasing the puck with a brush and can just lather up. Smell is important when you are married to someone who is very sensitive to smells, even to the point of having an allergic reaction.
