Review on 2017 2018 Release Removable License Bracket by Chris Bailey

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Keeps the front of the car clean

This is the best option I've seen for keeping the front bumper clean while still being able to quickly and easily attach the front panel when needed. As for me, I'm more interested in not removing the faceplate most of the time and only attaching it when absolutely necessary (e.g. parking in a place where I know without it you'll have one receive a fine). It's perfect for this type of use. I know others gave this a low rating because they felt it wasn't durable or too low to the ground (although I'm not sure that makes sense since it's no more than a half inch lower is than the front bumper or about that). Leaving it on most of the time could pose a problem and you might be better off using one of the mounts that attach to the vent. For me I didn't want to risk damaging the plastic opening and this was the perfect solution as you can also easily remove the panel without unscrewing anything. The bandage itself is very well made and makes a fairly stable impression. The quick release mechanism also works well. The hardest part is drilling the two small holes as the Model 3 doesn't have much room to fit the drill underneath (I used a Milwaukee impact driver which is much smaller and a small drill that barely fits). Once you've done that, the rest is pretty easy (just don't over-tighten the screws).

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Good but not great
