2017 2018 Release Removable License Bracket Review

I wanted to return it. but checked other products, this one seems to be the best. You need to drill the bottom of the car. It does no harm. Be careful and take about 10 minutes to get it right.

Installation was difficult but not overly so. Durability and cost are reduced because admittedly it hit the curb while parked and broke. It can't be soldered or welded back so it was a waste of money. The replacement will be one that doesn't hang as low.

Installed today, looks good. I like it better than the stock frame. Considering it hasn't traveled much since it was installed I can't comment on how well it's holding up, but the mount seems solid enough. Removing and reinstalling is quick and easy. The quality of the material is also high.

Okay, we all know this car looks better without a license plate, but who wants to get a ticket for it. That makes everyone happy and reliable hardware. Installs in less than 10 minutes depending on how you want to center the mount. Super clean and keeps unwanted holes out of painted parts of the car.

It's out of the way, but because the car is so low, you have to drive it up a ramp or spin a wheel to get the underbody drill. Otherwise, just use painter's tape to align the center line from the Tesla logo to the end and drill two holes in the fender. I assume a suitable drill bit is included for you to drill and then screw the bracket into place.

Great design - great construction - easy to install - easy to remove. Some installation tips: 1) Using painter's tape, I ran the thread from the top of the Tesla badge on the fender along the centerline of the battery vent and continued it vertically to the bottom edge of the grille neck and back to mark the centerline of the panel bracket. 2) I mounted the front tires on a 2" x 6" board so there was more room to mark and drill holes for the mount. The license plate holder was solid and held the license plate as described. Applying it according to the instructions was a bit tricky as I had to put the car on rails to be able to apply it. Unfortunately the bracket ensures the number plate sits low enough that it doesn't go over curbs, parking barriers etc and this resulted in my number becoming damaged within a week of use. I removed it after another week, concerned that the actual bracket would catch on the parking lock and rip the plastic

I have always searched for a license plate bracket that least obscures the front of my Tesla Model 3. STO-N-SHO met these criteria. This is the best option I've seen for keeping the front bumper clean while still being able to quickly and easily attach the front panel when needed. As for me, I'm more interested in not removing the faceplate most of the time and only attaching it when absolutely necessary (e.g. parking in a place where I know without it you'll have one receive a fine).
