It's not on the way, but with how low.
It's out of the way, but because the car is so low, you have to drive it up a ramp or spin a wheel to get the underbody drill. Otherwise, just use painter's tape to align the center line from the Tesla logo to the end and drill two holes in the fender. I assume a suitable drill bit is included for you to drill and then screw the bracket into place.
