I wish there were half sizes. I am borderline 8, 8.5 but I didn't want to go a full size up on these. Typically, shearling boots fit looser so I figured going down in size would be better. Well, these are snug and on the smaller side of a size 8. I will have to break in these boots as they are stiff.The seam that connects the foot to the leg is tight, at the seam. This makes sliding the boot on and off a challenge. I wore these for about four hours the first day, around the house and shopping. When I took them off, I realized that my ankles were stiff and a little sore. This is the first time that flat soled shoes have done this to my ankles. This goes back to my earlier statement, these boots need a break in period.Overall the boots are great. Decent quality, especially for the price. Because of the fit, this is somewhere in the 3.5 star range. If they break in the way I think they will, it is a solid 4 star rating. I did deduct a star for the lack of half sizes.
