I didn't even turn off the water to replace the gasket!
I clean the toilet very well, put on rubber gloves, reached down, opened the valve, pulled out the seal, smeared a new one with Vaseline and put it back in, and it worked, it works perfectly. I didn't even turn off the water, it took me the full 30 seconds.
