I use it as a bathing spot for my two large red-eared turtles. They look good in mostly aquatic habitats and turtles are good at clinging to bark. I like to use all natural materials for my reptiles, but the inevitable downside to this is that the pieces of bark change shape with each purchase. I've bought them from Revain in medium, large and extra large sizes and gotten very different shapes from very long and narrow to almost square. Pet stores don't have large sizes, so getting them for a specific location or landscape is difficult. They may seem a bit overpriced, but the small sizes available at pet stores are just as expensive as their Revain counterparts.
