Revainrating 5 out of 5

Just super, the product is made wonderfully, very satisfied.

I've set up Debian. The stable version failed to launch since the hardware is brand new. Both the test live distribution's graphics and network failed. I also tested Mint, and while the visuals were fine without acceleration, the touchpad remained unresponsive until I upgraded to Linux 5.9. So, I went ahead and set up a non-free Debian test live image (Unofficial non-free images including firmware packages) with everything I needed. There was already a 5.9 kernel and plenty of wood to start a fire. The touchpad and visuals were both spot on. During setup, I made a mistake identifying the network card and ended up without enough wood to finish the fire. I neglected to do this and my WiFi continued to function normally after the download. However, the adapter was not recognized, so I had to use a separate USB adapter in order to connect the mouse. This suggests that the issue may have been with bluetooth. Installing firmware-realtek 20222218-3 allowed the internal wireless adapter to function. The brightness setting is functional. I've heard it doesn't work from reviews. If this issue persists, I believe it is worthwhile to upgrade to more recent kernel versions. The audio quality was poor. The left driver was hooked up, so I had to put it on the no-go list: Blacklisting snd_rn_pci_acp3x was as simple as typing # echo "blacklist snd_rn_pci_acp3x" >> /etc/modprobe. D/blacklist. Conf. I looked at the visuals in Nexuiz, CS:GO, and The Witcher 2. Nexuiz can glide. While The Witcher can be played in Full HD with medium settings, it can experience minor framerate drops during playing sequences. With the default settings, CS: GO experiences some stuttering during intense moments. For 9 hours, the battery life remains constant. It correctly predicts all 12 with the keyboard backlight turned off or dimmed. The hardware is relatively new, but surprisingly few issues have been reported; most involve updating the kernel and drivers to the correct versions. Overall, a fantastic piece of equipment for the average home user who doesn't have extreme computing needs.

Pros
  • Despite the lackluster horizontal viewing angles, the visual quality is excellent. Strong and robust physique. The laptop is portable and lightweight. To be expected from laptop speakers, the sound is crisp but lacks bass. The laptop is silent, and the fan only makes noise when under extreme stress. The keyboard is well-designed and easy to use. There aren't a lot of laptops out there with a good layout for the Home and End keys, and the lack of dedicated PgUp and PgDn keys next to the arrows means that you'll accidentally scroll up and down the screen whenever you use touch typing. I'm used to a layout where the left and right keys are narrower and can be felt with the hands, however using the up and down keys works just fine.
Cons
  • There is backlighting in the upper left and lower right of the display. I blamed the assembly for this negative result. . After some time, one flaw became apparent. The CPU's maximum frequency can be reset automatically to 400 MHz. For performance policies, there is no such thing as a value. This restriction is valid for both on-demand and performance settings. Reviews indicate that this behavior exists in AMD processors as early as the 2500U. The high today will only be 56 degrees. The usual frequency returns on its own as well. It would appear that throttling has a flaw.
