Since your center speaker will be used primarily for voice tracks, you need something that can accurately reproduce voices. This speaker handles 95% of voices well, but (oddly) gives some male voices a "boxed" sound - as if they're speaking with clasped hands. This problem can be solved by moving the speaker a foot or two from the wall, but in most cases this is difficult. you can't ignore it Most high/female voices sound great and low male voices are good, but it struggles with less bassy male voices and some lower female voices. David Attenborough's tone, for example, is repulsively awful. I spent a lot of time trying to figure out if I had a weird equalizer setting turned on. If you turn off the center speaker and redirect his voice to the left and right speakers, he sounds good, so it's absolutely a speaker. However, this was only an issue for maybe 5% of the things we looked at. 95% of the time this speaker is fantastic, with clean and crisp reproduction and a surprisingly wide soundstage for a center speaker.
