So I have N95, KN95, surgical masks and just normal face masks. If I had sewing skills (or if another family member had pulled that trinket out of the closet that some people call a sewing machine), I would have DIY masks too. However, this turns out to be my preferred option. I'm pretty sure the polyester fibers in this ski mask are at least as effective at protecting others from my odors as a homemade mask or standard mask covers. But in my opinion, this neck warmer has proven to be more comfortable than any of the retail options, my glasses are less likely to fog up when wearing it with it, and I can use the drawstring to tighten it as tight as I like for think necessary. Of course it is reusable and machine washable. If the temperature gets tropical where I live I might remove it and use something else from mask inventory.
