So far good, but no circumferential cord
As far as good swimming trunks with mesh inserts. However, the yellow cord is not circumferential, but only about 10 cm long and sewn in the middle (yellow seam visible in the photos). Seems to be more of a design feature and also functional. This means that the swimming trunks slip easily when you get out of the water. Will now try to make your own cord.
