We ordered this balance bike for our 18 month old daughter who has outgrown her little balance bike. This bike suits her. The bike measures 17 inches from the floor to the handlebars and 11 inches from the floor to the seat. The wheels are plastic. The rear wheels are 5 3/4" in diameter and 1 1/2" wide. The front wheel is 8 inches in diameter and 2 inches wide. The rear wheels are spaced about 3 inches apart to try and provide some stability while your child rides the balance bike. What we love: The height is perfect for our petite 18 month old daughter. The steering wheel is also at the perfect height. - The wheels roll pretty smooth and don't need air. - The steering wheel is limited in the angle of rotation to prevent the bike from tipping over. - Assembly was easy. What we don't like: - We were disappointed in several things. about this bike. The first disappointment is that we didn't get the color we ordered. We ordered a pink balance bike but got a green bike instead. - Tires or hard plastic. Jumping out from underneath because the tires don't grip This also happens when getting off the bike and sometimes when cornering. At the very least, these tires require a rubber band around the wheels to grip a hard surface when getting on and off the bike.- The bike is cheap plastic. The seat and wings flex slightly. The front fender showed scuff marks (see image) from children pushing the front fender - There is a vent hole in the wheels that allows water to pool inside if caught in a puddle. The water will drain, but if left for too long without drying, it can cause mold problems inside the wheel. It could be a very good wheel if the manufacturer didn't skimp on the quality of the materials used during production. Bicycle. This bike tips over too easily without traction due to cheap hard plastic tires. Given the issue of hard plastic tires and cheap plastic seat and fenders, we could only find enough reasons to give this bike a 3-star rating.
