I bought this to replace the rocking stool in my child's room with a glider because my bedroom is so small. My room is carpeted to keep the stool from moving or slipping. Other reviews mention that it glides over hardwood floors. But now that I know how awesome this footstool is, I would find a way to keep it from sliding if I had hard wood floors. What I love most about this footrest is the comfort I get while breastfeeding. I'm 5'7" so most of the seats are too big for me to find a comfortable position while breastfeeding. My legs are too short for my feet to touch the ground. Your knees should be slightly above your waist and you should sit up straight for optimal comfort for mother and baby. With this stool I get it. And the fluffy Sherpa material keeps feet warm and cozy during those late-night feeds. I really love this footstool. It's perfect for me and just what I was looking for. I admit I was skeptical when I first bought it because it's a risky purchase at an odd $35. but it's totally worth it!
