Purchased for an Xbox 360 which I bought after my son gave them away along with the remotes when he got the Xbox One. He found that some of his favorite games weren't available on One, so I kept an eye on 360 for sale. I found one, but unfortunately there were no remote controls for it. We finally got this remote and he was surprised that it came close to the 360 remote and had no trouble plugging it in and using it with a couple of games he had. Unfortunately very soon after getting the remote he got a red ring of death on 360 (nothing to do with the remote, it's an OLD system and it was used. It was pretty dirty too). We've called a couple of highly rated locations to have it cleaned because we can hear the fan stalling, the system getting very hot and shutting down entirely, but we haven't found anyone local still working on it. But until the system itself stopped working, the remote worked perfectly, it's very strong, doesn't feel cheap and I myself wouldn't notice the difference. My son said the only difference is that the "XBox" icon itself is also a button, but it's not on this remote, it's a different button that does the same thing but is in a different location and no " Xbox" has. . " sign. But considering they are hard to find and when you do they are very expensive, this remote works well and is great value! I definitely recommend it!
