I've seen this antenna pop up "based on recent purchases". I bought a short antenna about 3 inches long. It looked cool but the reception was weak. I knew the risk. When I stumbled upon this, I read the seller's reviews and detailed information on the 6.5″. It was a little bigger than what I had, but still not as long as the standard model. I put it on my Sierra and scanned the channels. My old one started at 5-6 at best (I live near a big city) and even broke. In the garage, after installation, I was able to call up all the stations I knew in a radius of 20+. I added 3 more preset stations to my radio that I couldn't find before. I was also able to get better HD signal for the added HD channels. Feel free to buy this. It was definitely worth the money. To be honest I wanted to buy a backup so if I ever break this I have another just in case I can't find it anymore. I also like that it's flexible. I climb on the tire to wash or spray the truck, I had a few tight calls with the other antenna but it was short enough that I didn't rip it off. It's flexible but not too brittle. It's just enough not to break, but strong enough where the wind won't blow it away. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!
