Review on 🧸 Manhattan Toy Skwish Classic: Engaging Rattle and Teether Grasping Activity Toy by Devin Henry

Revainrating 3 out of 5

i wanted to love it

I must preface this review by saying that I had the original Skwish Classic when my own girls were babies, back in the late 80's and early 90's. It's a bit bigger and definitely softer, and it also has moving bells and beads (which this new version doesn't have), which makes it more fun to play with (mainly because it makes noise when the bells and beads move) . I'm not sure if this was a cost-cutting measure introduced by the company at some point, or if there was a safety issue that caused them to drop moving beads and bells, but I found this latest version a disappointment without them. It's likely that new buyers won't notice the difference and still find it a fun kid's toy, but I can't in good conscience give 5 stars to something that just isn't as beautiful and amazing as it used to be. .
