These headlights really dig. The build quality looks good. The plastic case seems pretty solid, but it's basically a lattice-like support structure with the internal electronics clearly visible; By no means try to use them in wet or wet weather (not many flashlights are built for that anyway, so it's no knock). This has the benefit of high airflow, no need for fans and the electronics should last a long time. Let's get to the best... light quality. It is bright, has a high color rendering index and does not lose much intensity due to the type of LEDs used, from 3200K to 5600K. The tighter beam pattern was a HUGE part of my decision to use this light. Being primarily a studio photographer, I shoot with a point light source and there's a huge benefit to starting with a narrower, more powerful beam of light and diffusing/reflecting as needed. You can't start with a really broad source and narrow it down. Most lights on the market are so tuned to be "soft" that in the end all they do is like dim, bare bulbs. According to this definition, the bare bulb of the lamp is also "soft". I'd rather take this more powerful lupo and focus it on a screen or through a diffuser plate.
