Comfortable chair that is almost impossible to assemble

Pros: Very comfortable Good back support Suitable for heavy people Cons: Confusing instructions Faulty screw holes Literally the following impossible to assemble This chair took almost four hours to assemble due to defective screw holes. I couldn't line up the marked holes in the armrests with the holes in the backrest and seat. When I could, the screws didn't catch or tighten. I managed to pull it together with quite a bit of confidence that it would hold up with sheer brute force. There's no reason this chair should take so long to assemble. I may have just caught one defective chair out of a batch of 100, but be prepared for the difficulties of assembly anyway. Of course, instructions only in pictures didn't help at all. Also, I have to say that this chair is very comfortable. I'm actually sitting in it right now, writing this review. The back doesn't hurt at all and I'm sure it won't break under my weight (and I'm not a simple person!). The base is very strong and made of thick plastic. It also looks quite good and is generally aesthetically well made. As I said, I received a defective item and the fact that I even assembled it is pretty insane considering how intricate and misplaced the screw holes were. The only reason I kept using it was because I can't return it if it doesn't work. At $133 I'm hoping for a little better quality control. It's not a bad chair, just lower your expectations when buying it. I would like to have.

Pros
  • Our chair is ANSI/BIFMA X5.1-17 compliant: Modern office chair, comfortable and ergonomic upholstery
Cons
  • Lots of stuff
