The clip of this ring light is not only strong but also requires some effort to attach it to anything. I don't recommend attaching it to a laptop as the clip is very hard and could damage the screen. However, I have a table lamp that I use sometimes that I can attach this light to and it works perfectly for me that way. However, I've found that it can be attached to almost anything, including whiteboards, tables, drawers, cabinets, and even shelves. This lamp has 3 different lighting modes and for each setting there are different options to choose from, from very dim to very bright. The neck of this ring light can be adjusted easily, but once you've locked it, it's really difficult to move, without unlocking it first. Very impressed with this light and it's great for any zoom meetings, appointments etc.
