AMAZING detector, now I only use KA and laser, there are almost no false alarms.

I've been using this in my 2005 Pontiac Montana for over 3 months now. I live in Las Vegas, Nevada and mostly ride the metro here. But I'm going to St. George, Los Angeles, and I even went to Reno last week. that NOBODY in California, Nevada or Utah uses the X-Band anymore, I immediately deactivated that band. So I didn't get any false positives in the X range :-) I've been watching my K, Ka and Laser ranges and writing notes on what I see and when I see it. I got a lot of false alarms on K-Band and the ONLY cop I've ever seen on K-Band was the Subdunk Sheriff. in a remote town on the road to Reno, one of those towns where the highway runs right through downtown and you have to lower your number to 25 just to get a ticket. I don't even remember the name of the town, maybe it was Goldfield. Anyway, apart from one last week, I discovered that EVERY laser I could put eyeballs on was a cop. I found that almost every ka-alert was a cop to watch out for, so I turned off my k-band because I almost never get false alarms on ka-band. And the Ka alerts I got were almost 100% at least a block away in town and at least 1/4 mile on the freeway. This detector has saved me from at least 5 traffic tickets in the last 3 months, he is that good! We don't have red lights in Vegas, and I only heard a red light go off once when I was out of state, so I have no hands-on experience with the red light feature. I have three complaints about the detector, none of which have caused it to lose stars for me. .#1 No volume control. I want to be able to adjust the volume on the fly just by turning the knob. #2 If I mark a place as silent, my distance to that place will be announced multiple times as I approach it on future visits. I HATE it when I mute it because I don't want to know about it. I should be able to leave ads on or turn them off. I have a K-band motion sensor on the door of a Walgreens near my house, which I sometimes pass 3 or 4 times a day and the announcements were worse than real beeps when the detector saw the motion sensor. I just don't want the K series to ever be explained in this place at all. #3 Laser is not sufficient for notification. I heard my laser fired 5 to 8 times in 3 months. Twice during my trip to and from Reno where I was in the middle of nowhere and had nowhere to identify the cop. Let's name the anomalies of which there are still 3 to 5 in the city, of which I remember 3 where I could see a police officer and the warnings I received were too late to do anything about it. Back then I didn't accelerate to the point where I was stopped, but if I had, I would not have been able to slow down fast enough to get out of the penalty. I think it's because ka-band cops just leave their detectors on while driving, even when not checking for speeders, and the same thing happens when they're checking for speeders. The cops here don't seem to gossip at all with their ka groups.
