Best on the market

After reading reviews and watching videos from trusted reviewers I decided to update one of my old speed camera detectors mainly due to false alarms. My previous detector was GPS enabled and could block known fixed false alarms, but couldn't do anything about false alarms caused by newer vehicles with built-in radars for security systems. AMAZING detector, now I only use KA and laser, there are almost no false alarms.

I've been using this in my 2005 Pontiac Montana for over 3 months now. I live in Las Vegas, Nevada and mostly ride the metro here. But I'm going to St. George, Los Angeles, and I even went to Reno last week. that NOBODY in California, Nevada or Utah uses the X-Band anymore, I immediately deactivated that band. Excellent, but not without flaws.

So I've had a Passport 9500ix for as long as I can remember and it's the first non-escort speed camera detector I've owned. First, the build quality. It's good but doesn't feel as solid and sturdy as my 9500ix. It's lighter and the detector feels a bit "cheaper" than my old 9500ix. Even the power cord looks a little less premium.
