I was having problems with USB 3.0 on my desktop computer. I had an inexpensive 3.0 hub with a pigtail attached and a USB 3.0 AA extender. It worked intermittently, but the rest of the time it was buggy: 2.0 devices always worked, but 3.0 devices failed after a few minutes of high-speed data transfer. I used this cable with an Anker 7 port hub. That works great. I now have a solid connection on my desk for USB 3.0 devices and don't have to crawl to the back of my computer to connect them. I chose this cable over many others because of its characteristics: robust but always has to add unnecessary cost) and larger gauge (i.e. either more copper or more insulation, both are good). I see nothing wrong with this combination.
