I love my cast iron pan which I use a lot. Almost every week I cook chicken, which includes both cooking in the oven (chicken) and using a pan on the stovetop for dripping sauce and various toppings. The sauce tends to overcook, but I still get big blobs of baked crap, which is a little annoying, but it looks like the carbon is building up more than anything. So I tried this smart solution and wish I had had it before as it's hardly a magic wand but I think it helped a lot in reducing carbon build up. This requires some serious elbow greasing, but I think I loosened quite a bit of carbon on the first try and will probably bring it back to a well-rolled, well-used but incredibly clean frying pan over time. Just one application and you can see I've followed the directions on how to use circular motions. It's especially good on the inside edges where the side and pan meet for drinks that are usually hard to reach. I recommend this as a great cleaning tool that I wish I had found sooner. It can also be washed in the dishwasher, which is useful as a frying pan cannot.
