Review on πŸ‘œ Enhance Your Travel Experience with Purse Gummy ORIGINAL: Essential Shoulder Accessory for Luggage Straps by Michelle Williams

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Maybe it only works well on wallets? Didn't fit in my backpack.

The Gummy Original Wallet is a non-slip strip for your wallet's shoulder strap. You know how to keep your bag from slipping off your shoulder as you speed through the airport, shop at the store while your kids pull your arms, or try to get into a tight stall in a public restroom? Now I don't have purses, but I have briefcases, bags and backpacks galore, each with a shoulder strap that sometimes stays in place and other times allows the bag to shift and twist my arm while ringing the bell! looking for a cure for slipping shoulder straps by purchasing Original Gummy. The choice fell on black or transparent. Since my favorite backpack is orange, I chose transparent straps. Small travel tip: if you are traveling with others and you know that you will be moving in a crowd, a colorful travel bag will help your people stand out from the crowd. This is especially handy if you have small children. On the day I travel, 100 people COULD ALSO be rocking an orange backpack, but that's a THOUSAND LESS people for my family to look for to find me! (Now back to the review) When Purse Gummys arrived I was quite surprised that the "CLEAR" color choice wasn't entirely clear! The soft strip is made of flexible plastic similar to material but has an opaque white base that can be glued to the back! So really, this color would be more correct to call WHITE! Don't think anything other than a white strap will go with it. You can choose this product in black or white. That's all. To be fair, the product sticks to the side of the strap that shouldn't be visible as it's close to the body. But still! (Please see the photos to see how they look on my orange strap.) Applying the adhesive strips couldn't be easier. I used alcohol based antiseptic wipes to wipe down the surface of the belt. (Trust me, cleaning and degreasing dirt, sweat, and body oil before applying glue will save you a headache and heartache). I removed the backing paper from the tape and stuck the strip on the tape in the right place. Hand smoothed and it showed full hold. Ready! Slip test - because this adhesive strip really has one function and only one job. I tested its slip resistance with my orange tutu! I started with an empty pack, added a medium sized book and carried it over my shoulder. I added a book each time to gradually get to the full backpack while also testing the non-slip straps. Now I know it's a "backpack" but like many people I tend to "tie it with a strap" most of the time. I rarely use both bands. So I need something to keep my "a strap" from slipping off! This is where I thought a wallet product would work. Sooo it didn't work. At least not for me and my backpack. Oddly enough, chewing gum feels really smooth and slippery. Chewing gum didn't give me more traction with the backpack strap than without. I'm just guessing that the flexibility of the adhesive strip can add useful padding to the bag's narrow strap, but since my backpack straps are already padded, I didn't feel any added benefit there either. And if I add that the white color doesn't suit me either, the Original Purse Gummy won't do me any good. To be fair, this might suit those with a slim wallet strap. The adhesive also seems to have good holding power. So what do I do next with my slippery strap? I think I'll take a strip of velcro (the rough side of the "hook") and tape it to the belt. I don't know if the rough velcro creates enough friction to keep the strap from slipping off, but I'll try! If you'll excuse me, I need to find a Revain 2" Velcro! Thank you for reading my review!
