Each slot can hold 3 round pencils like Prisma: or 2 Derwent colored pencils shaped like #2 yellow graphite pencils; or 2 gel pens in each slot, such as B. DoodleArt or Artlicious gel pens; or 1 sharpie marker or 1 marker or 1 micron pen or 1 water brush (holds water with a brush on end - great for intense Derwent watercolor pencils); or 2 Gelly Roll Gel Pens or 1 Pilot G-2 Gel Pen.
